“The armed services will get a discount at our pub – but how do we let them know?”
That’s the question being asked by Graham and Fiona Didlick at the Sun Inn at Clun in South Shropshire.
Fiona explains. “We would like to show our support for members of the armed services for all they do to keep our country secure.” Graham and Fiona will be offering a 10% discount on food and accommodation for all serving members of HM Forces and South Atlantic Medal Association members. They are hoping for a nationally recognised symbol that will advertise their support for the armed forces.
Fiona continues: “In America you can get an official window sticker to show that your business offers a discount but there is nothing like that here. It’s a great idea to have an armed forces day to support our troops. Businesses like our are willing to get behind the effort but how do we tell everyone?”
Graham and Fiona Didlick run the Sun Inn in the tiny town of Clun. Graham was born in nearby Ludlow and they recently returned to the area after living in the Falkland Islands for 20 years. The discount begins immediately and will continue while Graham and Fiona Didlick run the Sun.
